Oct 27th 2017
We left Chippewa on Fri the 13th figuring that our traveling luck shouldn't get much worse. Easy trip down to Kevins for a week. We parked in their driveway and sucked up their electricity and water.:) Kendall came home with a note stating head lice were in her classroom, Aprill checked her daily and sure enough 4 days later Aprill found some. Eek! So aprill and I spent the day washing, vacuuming and treating everyone. We had a great time there and I was sad to leave. Very much enjoyed spending time with Payton and Kendall everyday. On the 20th we headed to Madison to meet Ed and Pat at Lake Park Campground and go to the Badger game on Saturday. We have stayed at the campground with ed and pat before but this time it was quite dirty in the bathrooms and infested with box elder bugs. Yuck. We have been killing them in the camper since. Ed and Pat left sunday morning and when making my bed I thought I found a Nit so off to the laundry mat I headed washing everything again! Monday we headed towards Branson. We tried to stay at a Walmart in Mt Vernon Ill. but no overnight camping was allowed so we continued heading south and found a Walmart in Marion Ill that would let us stay. Prior to getting there however we stopped at a rest stop and unknowingly my

phone fell out of my purse. About 2 hours later Eric calls and says someone found my phone and wanted me to call him. So the nice young man John Smith from Mendota Ill. agreed to overnight ship the phone to the campground in Branson that we had reserved. 36 hours later I had my phone back. What luck to have someone honest find it! I sent him a thank you note and $50. We took highway 160 across the bottom of  MO. thinking it would be a faster shorter route. We were so wrong!! Windy, twisty, hilly and slow! I was very close to a anxiety attack. I can not handle those types of roads at all. We got to Branson finally on tues late afternoon. Stayed at Ozark Country Campground. A PA campground and by far the nicest one we have ever stayed at. Clean and friendly with large sites. We toured downtown Branson on wed. finding a local pub and grill called the Outback Pub which had great food and drinks , with live music and friendly folks. We also took a paddleboat ride on the Taneycomo lake on a beautiful sunny 85 degree day. Tonight we will see the Presley's Country Jubilee and tomorrow the Titanic Museum. Then planning to leave sunday and head Gulf shores state park for the month of Nov.
