It has been beautiful weather thus far this month. Quite a change from last year. It is still windy, but we have had days of no wind which has been awesome. Jan and Phil arrived a couple of weeks ago and are staying at a campground near us. So we have gotten together a few times. We had a girls only day to mexico and had a blast. We went to SPI the other day and attended a Market. Bought a few things and then onto Louies Backyard BBQ for ribs. Yummy as usual. Then onto Longboards to listen to music. Todd and Beth, along with some friends of theirs and Jan and Phil went also. another fun day. Today I helped with the Winter Haven Health fair and we had an great turnout and the vendors who came were so generous on their door prizes. I had a fall on my bike the last week and fortunately, it turned out I had no serious damage but I was limping around a few days. I guess I don't bounce as well as I used to. Kinda thought at one point that I may have dislocated my elbow...pretty painful.
we head to brads tomorrow to meet bode. cant wait. will be gone a week. many baby pics to follow!
Jan and I knew all the words so we had to sing along. poor beth and todd...so embarrassed to be seen with us!

Went to Lucky Barrel for the NfC championship game. Noisy but fun even tho the packers lost big time.
Went out to the Space Ex center to see what that was all about. Not much happening the day we were there,.

As Barbara Walters says. "and this is 2020". Another year in the books. Yesterday, as a way to blow out 2019 we welcomed new grandson Bode Rykal to our family. He was only 11 days overdue and gave his mom Mallory a hard time in arriving but everyone is happy/healthy and for that we are thrilled. We will be going up to meet him sometime in the next month or so.
We're getting settled in the park. Have met a few people and while everyone is overwhelmingly friendly I am not thinking that we will be meeting any long lasting friends..
We have gone to the SPI a few times and always love it there. I have played bingo a few times and have won so that always makes it more fun. Try and ride my bike 10 plus miles a day or walk 3 miles. Havent taken too much of an advantage of the pool yet.
We have developed a leak in the front end of the camper and can not figure out where it is coming in...Todd helped us try and seal up the front end seal but because it is raining today and we have just a touch of water in the closet front end I am going to guess that we didn't get it all.

We arrived in Brownsville tx on dec 7. uneventful trip. such a wonderful thing! it can happen, no issues no breakdowns. awesome!!! we stopped in Bay St Louis at silver springs casino for 2 nights. lost money but had fun. then stopped for one night in Winnie tx $30 a night, then onto Circle W campground in Rockport tx for 3 nights. They are passport America so it was $24 a night. Nice campground and area in general. would go back.
Now settled in Brownsville till april. nice enough campground, everyone is friendly, but most have been coming here for yrs and yrs so I feel a bit like a fish out of water. we will seen how the season progresses. the weather has been great so far. We wandered over to Progresso Mexico one day. Fun. Trying to get involved in activities here at the campground. Tonight we are invited over to the neighbors for a gathering so may meet some new folks. Todd and Beth arrived the day before we did and so glad they are here. Missing the daylights out of John and Laurie tho. We also wandered over to SPI for the day to watch the Packers play last sunday. we do love the island.
beth gave me some diamond dot oranaments to work on. fun

Had to decorate for Christmas this yr. first yr spending at a campground since starting full timing.

Jo and Dave Peterson came and joined us a few days in Gulf shores. We met them last yr in Los Fresnos. So we all had a wine tasting day. Then dinner and a fire. Great day!
