summer is flying. brad, mallory, brett and bode were here for 8 days. busy busy time. we borrowed a pop up camper from the neighbors and it was a lifesaver along with the use of another neighbors frig and another neighbors high chair and pack and play. whew. they all saved us! Brett and i did a lot of bike riding. we all went blueberry picking one day. made 2 delicious pies. went to the irvine park one day and bode enjoyed feeding the animals. they all went poontoning one day, but i had picked up bodes cold from him and took advantage of the quiet time and took a much needed nap. kevin, aprill and the girls also came over for 4 days while brad was here. they brought a tent to use. we looked a bit like a hobo camp for awhile! randy and deb had us all over one day for the afternoon and invited other family members over too so we got to catch up with everyone. we had joels family and mom/jack over one day for a gathering also. tom made hot beefs which were delicious!  brad interviewed mom and jack for his podcast so am anxious to listen to that. 

it has been very hot and humid all month. garden is suffering and production has not been all that great. i will be having to buy tomatoes to get all the canned stuff i like. we bought a used frig to put in the shed. the camper frig has been having trouble all summer keeping a consistent temp with all this heat. it is a very nice frig for 200 dollars. 

the campground bathrooms that i clean have been a problem all month. plugged toilets, some creeps deciding to paint the toilets and walls with poop! people puking on the floors . really have to think about weather i want to do this again next year. the owner brett says i should just let him know when this occurs and he will clean it up  but geez why does this even need to be an issue. 

we are growing another set of monarch butterflys. should have twins in 2 weeks. fun to do.

Happy 4th of July. country is pretty much opened up again after a long 16 months. at least in the chippewa falls area. been working around the campground a bit. gardening a lot and it is doing ok but no bees so i wonder how well the production will be. our neighbors grandson gave us a catapillar and we are trying to grow our own monarch butterfly. very fun! looking forward to brads family coming in 10 days. we have been invited to a july 4th celebration with some neighbors randy and donna for steak and shrimp. looking forward to that also. took mom yesterday to Fall Creek to visit her sister in law and my aunt Lois. so good to see her. always loved going to their place as a kid. my cousin Denise (her daughter) and hubby Arnie have been camping at the campground a couple of times this yr already so always nice to see her. val and ken met us at the cabin last weekend for 2 days. soo good to catch up with them also. val and i drank a lot of wine while the guys golfed. Friend wanda and hubby mark came over for dinner one evening. good to see them also. went out to eat at J and J's with ed and pat. guess we have been busy!
