At kevins in Menasha wi for a few days. parked in his driveway. free electric!  It has been cold since leaving New Mexico.  After leaving Tombstone az. we went to Las Cruses NM for a few day. Toured the historic downtown area which was cool to wander around in. From there we moved on to Alamogordo (edgington rv park. $18 at night PA) NM. We went to White Sands NP for a day and wandered around there. Very neat to see and very very hot that day. From there we went to Portalas NM  (Wagon Wheel $20 a night, then onto Amarillo texas. (A OK campground PA $14) Kind a crappy campground.  From there onto Dodge City KS to Gunsmoke Rv park  for $41 a night for 3 nights. Cold icky weather and i lost my butt at the casino. Then onto Marysville Ks to stay at the free city park for a night. Then onto Winterset Iowa to their city park. $22 a night. Tom inadvertently put DEF in the diesel tank. Fortunately we did not start the truck, but had to have it towed into the shop in Waukee Iowa, ford dealership to have the tank emptied and flush. $1100 later we were on the road again. Busy few weeks and i will be glad to be settled at Pine Harbor for the summer.

 April 2 2021

another month. another town.. now in Tombstone AZ. moved down here yesterday from Casa Grande.

Enjoyed our month in Casa Grande. Spent the month visiting with Dave and Jo and got to know them better. They took us to Goldfield Az a old mining town/tourist town. Fun. Then onto Tortillia Flats. Another old town at the end of a very twisty turny road. Bar there was papered with $1 bills. Entire bar,. rumored to be well over $400,000 papered on the wall. some 3-4 levels deep. impressive. we also took a trip to the Casa Grande Ruins. well over 700 yrs old  that the hohokipi indians built with canals and dirt buildings. some 3 stories high. did quite of bit of walking while in casa grande. old friend Judy Barnickel stopped in for a visit one day. she stayed 30 minutes south of us for the winter. she was one of my bridesmaids. friends Val and Ken made the drive out to see us for a few days. they are in az for a couple of weeks and touring around seeing the sights. had a great time with them! Jo and Dave also enjoyed meeting them i believe. had some fun one afternoon playing giant jenga. we made the trip back over to Ehrenberg to get our second covid vaccine. spent an enjoyable few hours catching up with Todd and Beth and of course she made a delicious lunch. I got pretty funky feeling almost immediately from the vaccine this time but was better in 36 hours. also made a trip up to sun city west to see old friends Tom and Ginny Miller for a day. a bit nervous about driving in Phoenix but we did it on a Sunday so it wasnt too bad. Good catching up with them again.  We went out to eat a few times at Airport Lounge. Excellent food and fun bar tenders. Live music too! Lets see what this month brings!
