jan 22 2021

darn near time to move on to our next spot again. we actually really like yuma and have looked at a few park models to buy when we are ready.  will compare to what we find in Florida next winter. weather has been cooler than i expected overall. but still pleasant with the sun shining. we went to Castle Dome about 30 miles north of yuma for a day and explored an old ghost town that used to mine lead and silver. very interesting. friends Jo and Dave that we met in Los Fresnos 2 yrs ago came down from Casa Grande for a visit this week and spent the night in todd and beths camper. was great to see them. also, spent a couple of evenings this month with some friends we met in florida  Frank and Rita.  The neighbors behind us had us 4 over for dinner last week. they are great fun and i need to get some pictures. they gather up every night for happy hour and gab away. anyone is welcome to stop for one. love that about this lifestyle. i had some dental work done in mexico 2 weeks ago and will be going   back to have them start my implant procedure next week. they also need to check one of the crowns they put in. something doesn't feel right.  next week will be the starting to pack up ritual again. hope we like the next park as well.

 Jan 11th 2021

Wow. 2020 is now hindsight! thank goodness.. been a hard year for many many americans with the collapsing economy, covid- 19, isolation in nursing homes and hospitals for the patients and residents, in the spring food and paper products shortages and many small business's going out of business. Thankfully, most of that has improved, but covid still rages and NH and hospital patients/residents are still isolated from their family and friends. My mom is quite depressed about never getting out of the assisted living home she is at. She had a near syncopal episode recently and ended up in ER (fortunately nothing was found to be wrong) but now is still required to stay in her room until later this week. Thank goodness she has her friends there and her brother to keep company when she isnt required to stay in her room.

Things have been pretty quiet around us. We stay around the campground mostly, but that gets old too. Have been to the local casino a couple of times but no luck on winning. We had to go to mexico this week as i developed a tender spot under one of my tooth crowns and with the recommendation of the neighbors i scheduled an appointment and ended up having 2 crowns and a root canal at one of the dentists in algodonas (supreme dental, dr luis)(cost $1020.00 for all). so far so good on that procedure. was not busy in mexico. i think they miss all the canadians who arent here this year. otherwise bought vanilla and came home. Thinking about having my implant started their also.

had a  quiet christmas here. gathered up with beth and todd for dinner and a couple of games.  and for new years eve they had a little golf cart parade here and we handed out jello shots and gathered with the neighbors behind us for the evening. fun night. got together with a couple we met yr 1 in belle park for dinner the other night. Frank and Rita. ate at holy smokes in downtown yuma. company good food not that great.

our 2020 year of travel. 14 states and 2 flights to Brads. stayed at all 3 of the boys places at some point in the year
