Happy Hallowen! WOW. What a month! After leaving Erics we drove as far as just north  of Salt lake city and spent the night in a Walmart. Scrapped a tree while parking and more scratches on camper and a hole in the awning. geez. Got up early and got thru SLC by 0930 so missed traffic. went as far as a small campground MountainView campground for a night and then moved on to Monticello Utah and stayed at Old West Rv park for a week. Rustic at best but friendly folks. Spent a week there. While there  we went to the south end of Canyonlands NP. Spent the day, walked a lot. loved it. then off to Arches NP for a day. Again, beautiful and loved it. Also, we to Natural Bridges National Monument. So pretty there too and again did a lot of hiking. UP and down, up and down... We didn't get to the north end of Canyonlands NP because we just couldn't deal with the excessive traffic, construction and traffic jam in Moab. Unreal..Next stop was Torrey Utah. At Thousand Lakes Rv park. Nice park, no lakes..We stayed 3 days. Went to Capitol Reef NP. Again, beautiful and so different from the first 2. Lots of hiking again. Bought pie at the gift shop. $6.50 for a very small pie. highly recommened. not that good. Next we went to Glendale Utah to Bauers  RV Ranch. didn't really care for it there but met a nice couple from Alaska. Alex and Ann. visiting Byrce and Zion NP. Bryce was busy when we went on a Friday but gorgeous! Also the coolest day we had all month. Did one hike but the rest of the trails were so busy we couldn't get close to walking them. Next day Zion. OMG! so so busy. we finally found a place to park in Springdale and had to walk to the visitor center and did a short flat walk along the river. lovely but very very hot. found a brewery and had a beer! Zion was my least favorite of the big 5. I think Capitol Reef     was my favorite...now at Bullhead City at Moon Rivr cam!pground. nice place. small but friendly place. been here for a week already. leaving tomorrow. Went to Laughlin  NV for a day . Wow, kinda a ghost town. lost our butts on the machines. there is a casino close to the campground that we went to a couple of times but ended up overall being LOSERS. also went to OAtman Az for a day. again virtually a ghost town.  Next stop Blue Sky Ranch. Yuma Az. Looking forward to meeting up with beth and todd for the winter.

We have been at Eric and Heathers since Sept 27th. The weather has  been amazing!! mid 70's to 8o's everyday. going to head out on Friday the 9th. Going as far as Pocatello Id for the night then stop at a Walmart or somewhere for the night before going thru Salt Lake City on I- 15 on sunday morning. . Heard it is supposed to be a nightmare. Then headed for the first of the big 5 NPs in Utah. Starting with Arches,-Canyonland-Capitol Big Reef -Bryce and Zion. very excited about doing this. When we are finished there we will head the last leg to Yuma. Will have 4 days to travel it.
Been busy enough at Erics. . Walking a lot. Hanging out with the grandboys. Giving the dogs lots of treats! Eating way too much. Heather is such a good cook. Eric was sent home from work last week d/t a cold/cough and had to be tested for covid. but after 8 days the test came back negative. but he managed to share his cold with me and I in turn shared with tom. Dang. Watched Wade play football one night. unfortunately they lost but wade did well.
We took out the guns into the Mountains and did some target practicing. Tom did well. So did Heather she is a natural

Ok I was very nervous about handling a loaded weapon. did get some good pointers tho from heather

Seriously beautiful landscape around Boulder Mt

tom and I with the "boys" Wade, Dalton and Braden. They are such fun!

Hot game of Giant Jenga. Rachel lost..many times. Braden practiced a lot...while in  college

Wades football game. This NFL is how respecting the flag and national anthem should be done!

OUr camping spot at ERICS. price was very reasonable!
