August 7th 2019
well, I cant believe that I didn't write in july but I guess not. Kevin and his family came for 4th of july weekend. Had fun and set off fireworks in the field. Joel, karen and mom also came one night for dinner. Overall July has been a hot humid month. Did a fair amount of bike riding and went kayaking with Deb, Donna, Karen and April down the Yellow river. Fast river! |It was fun! We had plenty of company during July. Seemed like someone was always around. Brad and family came July 31st for a week. They will be going from a family of 3 to family of 4 come Dec. 20. A boy. They are very excited as are we. Garden is going great guns! I have been picking green beans, radishs, lettuce, potatoes and cukes all month. Tomatoes and corn are just starting but look great!
We had the camper in for all of it repairs. took it in july 22nd and picked it up  4 days later. The back end that we damaged in Iowa on the way home is fixed as is the blow out damage and a few other dings and dents that have occurred. We used the extended warranty to fix the stereo (it was replaced) and the awning damage that occurred when the shock/strut broke. She looks good now! If we can just keep it that way. Now it is time to do all the annual maintence stuff. Today I resealed the roof with self leveling lap sealant and tom checked the air conditioner for dirt. It was good. Now to start with washing the roof and putting the uv protectant on. Then the rubber seals all need a cleaning and protecting after the camper is washed. Yikes, work is never done.
Kevin and payton here for a few days while brad was here

Fun day pontooning. Nephew Luke let us use his pontoon for the day. We fished, caught nothing. Swam and putted around Lake Wissota.

Payton and Brett
These two fishes were in the water everyday they were here.

Hanging out at Randy and Debs. Deb took us out boating, tubing and waterskiing. so fun! Then a campfire. Great night

Had to talk hard to get brett to try tubing but when he did he LOVED it and didn't want to quit!

Unique camper. Shipped over from Germany.

Wine day at Autumn Harvest

Had a few storms in July that set off the tornado sirens. Good thing the shower house was clean. :)

They call themselves the Lady Glampers of Wisconsin. Personalized vintage campers. So cool. They gave tours one afternoon of all the campers. Each one is different.

Made it to the Chippewa state fair for the first time in 40 plus years. Not much has changed.
