We arrived at belle parc on the 8th after spending 4 nights again at Gulf Shores state park from the 3rd thru the 7th. We were quite concerned about the freezing weather and our unwinterized camper that we left in Al. Fortunately, the pipes were not frozen and all was well with the camper. We left brads on the 2nd and made a speedy trip south. Whew! We were on site 291 at the state park and basically had no internet at all there the whole time. Frustrating! Glad we pre picked our #250 site for next Nov./Dec.. John and Laurie Tamas connected with us in Gulf shores and we caravanned to Florida. While in Gulf shores we met up with friends Ed and Pat and also a few others from Cadott that we know. We stayed at a PA campground in Chiefland on the way to Fl. Chiefland Rv park. Cheap, but messy and very crowded. Good enough for one night tho. We arrived at Belle Parc on the 8th and got settled into our site #23 after greeting many old friends from last year. Then onto our first Margarita Monday social hour. Fun! Tues. we finished settling in and went to the grocery stores to stock up. Brooksville overall seems a lot busier than last year. We had a fire also already on the firepit that brad gave us. Good turnout for that. Thurs we had a kayak trip on the Weeki Wachi river. Beautiful! We seem to be having a happy hour at one campsite or another nightly. Weather has been warm but we are expecting a cool down starting tomorrow for a week or so. Glad to be settled in to our winter home for 3 months and so far the expansion that they had has bought in some nice folks.

Happy New Year! One year on the road! Amazing. We have learned so much and still have sooo much to learn! Brad and Mallory have returned from their honeymoon. They had a ball. We were able to have Brett with us all week and had a ball with him. They are hoping to come to Fl for a visit the first part of april. Tomorrow we take off and head back to Gulf shores to pick up the camper. I am hoping to not have frozen broken water pipes. The cold spell has encompassed pretty much the entire country and gulf shores is not excluded. Supposed to be 22 tonight. Hoping for the best but I am not too optimistic. Tom is going to miss his buddy Aspen. The cat and him really connected. We are really looking forward to getting to florida and warm weather. We have been quite chilly here the last week and a half.
